I remember in earlier games, i would build huge bases, and still have so much excess hull framents i would dig massive pits and just fill them up with the stuff for use later (like a leaf pile for robots!). I mean we harvest it from hull fragments, but we can not harvest it from larger fragments lilke the wrecks or, i dont know, the several million tons of it that is the aurora? the degrasi survivors hint that they stripped down their entire vessle (we have never found the wreck for it) for titanium, but we are limited to little chunks of it we find lying around, or limestone deposites (or the new, but rare drill nodes). seems to me that they are probably trying to ballance things, but if there was anything that we should essentially have an unlimited, easy supply of, it would be the bases for all of our technology. im guessing they pulled a lot of hull fragments out once they implemented drilling, but it seems that titanium drill deposits are super rare (there's gold for days, but not the thing you use more than anything else in the whole game?).
